At the bottom of the table showing the specs: The current Mac edition of Realgrain Plugin supports CS5 in 32 bit mode only. RealGrain will not work in CS6 as CS6 is 64 bit only on Macs. Regards, George |

So how long will it be before we CAN run it in CS6? I dont particularly want to have to re-install CS5 just for running realgrain, and many photographers, and most pro photographers, will have upgraded to CS6.

You'll be notified thru email and on this site when it's released.

The tech-spec sheet does not explicitly identify that the RealGrain plugin is not supported on Mac CS6. The footnote only indicates that the CS5 version will run in 32bit mode only. I encourage you to change the language in the footnote, so that others don't waste time attempting to install an incompatible plugin.
You can certainly make an argument for why the current footnote can be interpreted to indicate that the RealGrain plugin will not work in CS6... *however* it would seem entirely appropriate to be explicit, and not to require your customers & potential customers to draw obscure inference from otherwise critical disclosure. The changes have been made to the page to fully reflect that CS6 is not supported.

It's been a while since the question was asked, and I'm curious as to the status.
Will it be a minor (free) or major (charged) update? I'm thinking of buying, but don't want to buy something that will only cost me more money a short while later. |
